2026 WABL Team Announcement

Following on from State Champs and the previous trials, final teams for the upcoming WABL season have now been announced. Congratulations to all our players and coaches who have been selected to play in a Wolves team for WABL 2026. We have some great teams ready to hit the floor in green this year, and we are excited for the year ahead. We would also like to thank all of our coaches, team managers, and players for their efforts in the State Champs.

To the players that played in State Champs and were not selected for a WABL team, we thank you for participating in State Champs and wish you well for your future basketball endeavours. Some select players from State Champs that did not make a team will be offered train on player spots. Train on player invites will go out via email over the coming weeks.

Below are the team lists for each age group.

Under 14’s

Under 16’s

If you’ve been selected, these are your next steps:

STEP 1. Confirm and accept your roster spot. To do this, you need to:

Register and pay the Grading fees by February 14th, 2026 using the link below. The fee for Grading is $150 per player and includes referee fees. In addition, PlayHQ charge a 1.9% processing fee per transaction. You will no longer be required to pay cash on the day for referees. The above fees cover the cost completely for trainings, games, and referees for the period of February 2nd – March 22nd 2026.

To finalise the registration you must have paid.

All registrants must agree to the parent and player code of conduct. These can be found in the links below. Within the registration process from the link above, you will need to agree to the WBA player and parent codes of conduct.

By agreeing to a spot on a team for Grading, you are also committing to accept a position on a team for the WABL Season.

It is a requirement that all WABL players MUST play in the Wanneroo Basketball Association’s Winter Junior Domestic Competition. This will mean registering with a domestic club that will carry additional fees. You are not allowed to play senior domestic in place of junior domestic participation. You are also not allowed to play in a different club’s domestic competition in place of WBA junior domestic participation. Failure to meet this requirement will result in removal from your WABL team.

Fees for a WABL player are broken up into fees for Grading and the WABL Season.

  • Grading – $150, including referee fees (Plus a 1.9% PlayHQ processing fee)
  • WABL Season – $585 (Plus a 1.9% PlayHQ processing fee)
    • Further information regarding WABL Season fees and payment due dates will be sent out prior to the WABL Season.

STEP 2: Come to training, work hard, and be a good teammate.

  • Training starts week commencing Monday, 2nd of February. The training schedule can be viewed below:

STEP 3: Be ready for WABL

  • All Participants must have WABL Playing Shorts and Mouthguards. You will also be required to wear a Wolves reversible for trainings and a Warm Up Shirt (long sleeve) on gamedays.
  • Please see the mandatory, recommended and optional uniform list found here.
  • All items can be purchased via www.wolfpackwear.com.au

*PLEASE NOTE – Any player who is deemed unfinancial to the association (i.e. has outstanding fees with WBA) will be ineligible to participate in WABL until all fees are paid*
