Who are the Wanneroo Basketball Association (WBA)?

The Wanneroo Basketball Association is one of the largest basketball Associations in Western Australia, with over 5,000 participants in its domestic competitions.

My child is a beginner, how do they start their basketball journey?

The best place to start your child’s basketballer journey is through one of our introductory programs. For players 10 years and under, we offer our Nu-Ford Wangara Aussie Hoops program, a fun and inclusive experience aimed at introducing children to basketball. Does the WBA offer programs outside of competition games?

Alongside our Aussie Hoops program, the WBA also offers a range of other programs outside of competition to help your child improve. These programs include our Holiday Camps such as:

What should my child bring?

We ask that children wear suitable shoes for indoor sport(enclosed shoes), bring a basketball, and a drink bottle. For full-day camps, we also ask that they bring a snack and lunch, as food is not provided.
