The Meneghello Industrial Group City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of 6’3 US Centre Kurstyn Harden, who joins the Wolfpack for the remainder of the 2025 NBL1 West Season.
The 6’3 Texas native will add size and inside presence to our Women’s Wolfpack team. Harden has just completed playing for Secil Kaucuk Mersin Basketball in the Turkish TKBL, where she played a total of 30 games, averaging 24 points and 11.5 rebounds.
Before travelling to Turkey, Kurstyn has two NCAA stops. First at the University of Northern Colorado and then Stephen F. Austin State University, where she graduated in 2024. During her collegiate career at SFA, she averaged 14.0 points and 6.6 rebounds in the 61 games she played.
Whilst playing for the Northern Colorado Bears, Harden made 29 starts during the 2021-22 season, averaging 12.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, as well as leading the team in blocks with a total of 27. Kurstyn finished the season within the top three of the team for scoring, as well as leading the team in rebounds with 239 over the season.
Kurstyn was also named in the All Conference First Team in 2024, and the Tournament Team for the WAC.
Wolfpack fans can expect to see Kurstyn on court once she arrives in Australia this week.
Speaking on the signing, Women’s Head Coach Jesse Pence said, “Kurstyn is a welcome addition to our roster, and we are excited to have her bolster our frontcourt rotation. We have heard nothing but great things about the kind of person and player she is and look forward to her contributions in the immediate future”
When asked how it feels to continue with the Wolfpack for the 2025 season, Kurstyn said, “What excited me most is definitely the opportunity to live in such a beautiful country. I love to travel, so being able to explore a country is exciting. I’m also super excited about being in a new environment, meeting new people, as well as having a great team and group of girls around me. While embracing everything this experience has to offer.
I’m looking forward to bringing a dominant presence to the court, playing with energy and intensity. Off the court, I’m all about good vibes and team chemistry, so I hope to bring a lighthearted and easygoing energy that helps the team stay connected and have fun throughout the season.
On the court, I’d say I’m a more high energy player who’s competitive and locked in. Off the court, I’m super chill and lowkey. I enjoy keeping things relaxed and positive, whether it’s in the locker room or just hanging out with teammates.”
