The Meneghello Industrial Group Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of versatile guard Damon Ballantyne for the 2026 NBL1 West Season.
“I’m super excited to be back with the boys for another season under a new head coach. I’m looking to stay healthy all season whilst staying consistent with my offensive game.
“Fan’s can expect more leadership and competitiveness from me. Hopefully we can get plenty of wins on the board to secure that championship!”
Wolfpack fans will remember some of Damon’s clutch moments from last season, including his overtime 3 against the Buccs in our first home game, or his buzzer-beater 3 against the Eagles later in the year. Over the course of the 2025 NBL1 West Season, he averaged 6.6 points, 3.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds across 19 games. To cap off his season, Damon received the Coaches Award for the Men’s NBL1 side at the 2025 Wolfpack Awards.
With elite toughness and strength alongside his high level of basketball IQ and playmaking ability, Wolfpack fans will be eager to see Dame take to the court once again during the 2026 NBL1 West Season.
Men’s Head Coach Lucas Allen spoke on the impact of having Damon as a part of The Pack for the upcoming season.
“Damon is the kind of athlete every coach wants in their locker room.
“He’s battle-tested at this level, he plays the right way, and he instantly raises the standard of the entire group. Our guy’s love having him involved.
“Damon is another piece of the puzzle that helps us build on the continuity of a core group of guys that can help this program take the next step towards winning championships”.
Damon is our seventh Men’s player signed ahead of the 2026 NBL1 West Season. To follow all the upcoming NBL1 West and Wolves Action, head to the Wolfpack’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
