The Meneghello Industrial Group City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of Wolves Junior and human-highlight reel Ben Geel, who will run with the Pack for 2026.
“I’m proud to be re-signing with the Wolfpack for the upcoming season. We have a great group on and off the court, and I am excited to see what we can achieve with our new coaching group. I’m ready to help this team succeed in any way I can on both ends of the court”
Ben has quickly become a fan favourite amongst the Wolfpack, showing off his explosive potential on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. The Real Deal stepped up another level in 2025, with his efforts culminating in him being named the 2025 D-League Men’s MVP for the third straight year. He also claimed the award for Most Improved Men’s Player in the Wolves NBL1 side.
On the court, Ben starred in the second Exhibition Game against the Indonesian National Team, ending the game with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, as well as an 88% from the field. Throughout his time with the Wolfpack, Ben has advanced each year, and Wolfpack fans will be looking forward to seeing how he develops further in 2026.
“We’re stoked to have Ben Geel locked in for the 2026 season. Ben is a proud Wolves junior, and he represents everything our pathway is about. Our community loves seeing homegrown athletes rise from Domestic all the way to NBL1, and Ben is living proof that if you put in the work, the opportunity is real. He’s earned every bit of this.
“Ben has taken a leap every single year, and the way he’s attacked this pre-season has been on another level. If what we’ve seen so far is any indication, 2026 has the potential to be a breakout year for him.
“We’re thrilled to have Ben recommit, and just as excited to see how far he can push his rise this season. His ceiling continues to rise, and we can’t wait to see him continue to work to reach it.”
Ben is our second Men’s player signed ahead of the 2026 NBL1 West Season. To follow all the upcoming NBL1 West and Wolves Action, head to the Wolfpack’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
