The Meneghello Industrial Group City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of 6’3 Guard Taylor Young for the 2026 NBL1 West Season!
“I’m honoured and grateful to be a part of the Wolfpack, I’ve always loved the atmosphere of Arena Joondalup and now I’m happy to be on the right side of the amazing fans and community so I can contribute to wins and our continued success.
“You can expect for me to help make it easy for my teammates to score with my ability to drive and score off the dribble, as well as creating for others, while also helping mentor the younger guys coming up through the ranks.
“I’m looking forward to playing in front of the amazing fans and being a part of the Wolves community!”
A veteran guard with experience in the NBL1 and internationally, Taylor captained the East Perth Eagles, leading the team to their first finals appearance in a decade during the 2024 season. In 2025 he began his season with the Eagles, before finishing his year with the Sutherland Sharks in the NBL1 East.
Wolves fans got a chance to see Taylor in action during the second Exhibition Game against the Indonesian National team, finishing the game with 15 points, 9 assists and 2 rebounds. Young is described as the ultimate team player and competitor who is equally able to put up some big individual numbers as he is to set up plays for his teammates, and we can’t wait to see him hit the court in 2026.
“We’re excited to welcome Taylor, a seasoned and highly respected point guard whose experience stretches across elite competitions throughout Australia.
“Taylor arrives as a veteran floor general, bringing a deep understanding of the game and a proven ability to perform at the highest level. His track record, leadership, and professionalism make him an ideal addition to our roster.
“From day one, it was clear that Taylor is the exact fit for the role we needed filled — a dynamic point guard capable of distributing at a high level, defending with intensity, and impacting winning on and off the floor. His presence elevates the standard of our group and strengthens both ends of the court.
“Taylor has blended in seamlessly, quickly earning the respect of teammates and staff. His influence has already raised our ceiling, adding poise, competitiveness, and a winning mindset to the program.
“We’re excited for what Taylor brings to the upcoming campaign and looks forward to the impact he will make throughout the season.”
