The Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of Alieca Knowles ahead of the 2025 NBL1 West Season.
Alecia has an extensive basketball career spanning a decade in the SBL and NBL1, playing 164 games as part of the Rockingham Flames and Lakeside Lightning before joining the Wolfpack.
A valuable asset to the team, Alecia can play in multiple positions across the court, and has consistently proven herself to be a match winner throughout her career on both the defensive and offensive sides of play.
Wolves fans are excited to see what Alecia brings to the court during the upcoming NBL1 West Season.
Speaking on the signing, Women’s Head Coach Jesse Pence said, “We are thrilled to have Alecia join us for the 2025 season. She is a proven winner across her 164 career games in the SBL/NBL1. She brings us a ton of value in her ability to play both ends of the court and multiple positions. Alecia has already had a great offseason, and we look forward to seeing her at Arena Joondalup soon!”
When asked about the decision behind signing with the Wolfpack for the 2025 season, Alieca said, “A significant factor in my decision to join the Wolfpack was the strong culture within the club. I truly value being part of a close-knit team where everyone is fully committed to supporting one another. The coach’s approach also strongly aligned with my values and that alignment played a significant role in my choice.
I’m excited to hit the court with the team. Everyone has been so welcoming, and we have a solid group here. I think Joondalup is a highly professional club and it’s a privilege to be a part of it!
Entering my 10th year in the league, I feel I bring experience and a sense of mental resilience shaped by the challenges and successes of past seasons. I’m hopeful that this background will help me add aspects of leadership, drive, and a team-first mentality to our team this year.
