Peanut to Power the Pack!

The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of Sirena “Peanut” Tuitele for the 2024 NBL1 West season!

Peanut Tuitele is a versatile, defensively minded Forward from California, USA who’s played for the Colorado Buffaloes and the California Golden Bears in the NCAA Div I competition. During her three-year playing career at Colorado, Peanut averaged 7.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game across 110 total games and helped lead the team to their first NCAA appearance in 9 seasons. Peanut was awarded the clubs’ Ceal Barry Pride Award for her efforts and leadership qualities.

A the end of her 2022 season, Peanut transferred to the University of California where she played for the Golden Bears. Starting in 28 games, Peanut brought leadership and experience to the squad. After graduating in 2023, Peanut started her professional career in Finland for club ViVe, where she is currently playing and averaging 15.3 points and 8.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.

Wolfpack fans can look forward to seeing Peanut in Green this season, on Van Kailis Court at the end of her season!

Women’s Head coach Jesse Pence had this to say about signing Peanut:

Peanut Tuitele is sure to make a splash in the NBL1 West this season. She is a versatile frontcourt player that will be a focal point of our offense and our defense. Her shooting and playmaking ability are welcome additions to an excellent roster. Peanut is a beloved teammate and a great addition to any team; we are EXCITED that it’s our team this season!”

When asked for a statement on her recent signing, Peanut said:

This is my first time in Australia, so I’m looking forward to embracing and learning a new culture, cuisines, and of course competing with a group of young women who are eager to WIN! The Wolfpack Fans can expect a big vocal presence both on the offensive and defensive side of the floor. I’m excited to compete, work, grow and get better alongside my teammates.”

Peanut joins teammates Kyah Nichols, Dynn Leaupepe, Hannah Duncan, Jorjah Smith, Emma Clarke, Laniesha Paddon, Ella Thornton-Elliott, Sarah Toeaina and Darien Huff for the 2024 NBL1 West season.
