The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of NBL1 Central Champion Jorjah Smith for the 2025 and 2026 NBL1 West season.
A valuable member to have continue as part of the Wolfpack, Jorjah continued to showcase her high level of talent throughout the 2024 NBL1 season, averaging 9.33 points, 3.22 assists and 2.56 rebounds per game.
Smith has extensive NBL1 experience, having played for the Norwood Flames in the NBL1 Central, where the sharpshooting guard averaged 13.7 points and 4 rebounds per game. Jorjah has had immense success playing internationally throughout her career, including for the Oakland Wolves in the English WBBL, where she was top 5 in the league, averaging 18.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per match during the 2022/23 season.
We look forward to seeing Jorjah continue to bring her professionalism and wealth of experience to the Wolfpack during the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Speaking on the re-signing, Women’s Head Coach Jesse Pence said, “We are certainly fortunate to be returning a player the calibre of Jorjah Smith for 2025 and 2026.
Even with her injury interrupted season she still managed to shoot over 45% from 2, and 78% from the free throw line. We have already seen the work she has been putting in to prepare for 2025 and really love the combination of intensity, discipline, and shot-making that she brings to our backcourt rotation.”
When asked about the re-signing, Jorjah said, “I’m excited to return to the Wolves in 2025 and 2026, it’s a privilege to be a part of the Wolfpack and the community in Joondalup. I’m looking forward to what we can achieve next season as a team and a club.
I’m looking forward to playing an exciting style of basketball that our fans will enjoy. Being a part of a winning team and culture, playing finals and winning a championship is always the goal. There is nowhere better in the country to play than HBF arena.
I am the Wolf.”
