The Meneghello Industrial Group Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of Gabe Chadinha for the 2026 NBL1 West Season.

“I’m super excited to re-signing with the Wolfpack for the 2026 NBL1 season! I’m really looking forward to pushing myself and developing my game even further this season, while contributing to the team’s success. We’re all excited to work with our new Head Coach and are looking forward to the fresh strategies and insights he will bring to the team and our incredible Wolfpack fans and supportive community I’m confident we’ll have an amazing season.

“Starting out as a junior player, I was focused on learning the basics, finding my place and absorbing as much as I could from the experienced players around me. I’ve developed confidence in my skills, a stronger understanding of the game, and a deeper sense of responsibility.

“The transition from being a junior to now has been a rewarding journey. It reflects hard work, growth, and trust, and it motivates me to continue setting a good example, supporting teammates and pushing the team forward.

During preseason, my focus is building a strong foundation both physically and mentally. Working on understanding new coaching styles, defensive schemes have been crucial so far. I also have focused on sharpening the fundamentals ball handling under pressure, shooting consistency and understanding our team systems better. Looking ahead, there are still areas where I know I can improve my basketball game.

“I want to become more consistent with my shooting, particularly in game-speed situations and more confident in taking open shots. Defensively, I want to be more vocal and impactful, using better positioning and communication to help the team. Overall, my goal is to keep developing into a more complete, dependable player who adds value on both ends of the court.”

Playing his most minutes for the Wolves during the 2025 NBL1 West Season, Gabe stepped up another level, averaging 6.3 points and 3 rebounds across his 22 games. Our last regular season game of the year against the East Perth Eagles marked Gabe’s 100th game in the NBL1 West. A Wolves Junior, Gabe has improved each year he has been signed with The Pack since joining out NBL1 side in 2020, becoming a regular for the Wolves.

Wolfpack fans will be excited to see Gabe grow even more on court in the coming NBL1 West Season.

Men’s Head Coach Lucas Allen spoke on the importance of signing Gabe for the upcoming season.

“We’re stoked to confirm that Gabe will continue his commitment, returning for another season with the NBL1 Men’s program after progressing through the ranks as a proud Junior Wolves product.

“Gabe’s journey has been defined by consistent, year‑on‑year growth, and this preseason has only reinforced that trajectory. He is beginning to truly understand his role within the group and where he can make the greatest impact.

“What makes his return even more exciting is the fact that Gabe is still years away from his prime. Despite that, he has already shown he can influence winning, bring energy, and contribute in meaningful ways. The strides he has taken in the preseason suggest that his upward curve is continuing into the 2026 season.

“We’re thrilled to have Gabe back as he continues to evolve, push his limits, and strengthen the foundation of our team.”
