The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of Ella Thornton-Elliott for the 2025 NBL1 West Season.
Ella is a 21-year-old combo guard who impressed in her first season as part of the Wolfpack in 2024. Since moving from the Eastern Suns, Ella has worked hard to become a consistent and athletic member of the Wolfpack.
A former WA State Junior and member of Deaf Basketball Australia, where she currently trains as a member of the Geckos. Playing for the Ringtails and competing on the National and International stage, Ella and the Australian Deaf Team have the chance to qualify for the Tokyo Deaflympics, which will take place in September 2025.
We are beyond excited to have Ella continue to grow and make an impact as part of the Wolfpack for the 2025 NBL1 Season.
Speaking on the re-signing, Women’s Head Coach Jesse Pence said, “We are thrilled to be returning Ella Thornton-Elliott to our 2025 NBL1 Team.
Ella has improved consistently throughout her NBL1 career, and we think that she is an important piece that we will continue to build around for seasons to come.”
When asked about how it feels to be a part of the Wolfpack for the 2025 season, Ella said, “I’m super excited to be back with the Wolfpack for 2025. The staff, my teammates and the fans made me feel at home right from the beginning, so I’m looking forward to seeing what this upcoming season brings.
I’m looking forward to playing in front of the Wolfpack fans again, as their energy and support are awesome. Most of all I’m just looking forward to putting the jersey on and finishing what we started last year.”
