Registration Information

Junior Domestic Competition

The WBA Junior Domestic Competition (JDC) consists of seven domestic clubs who are responsible for entering teams into the competition and registering players to those teams. For club specific information, please visit the Club Links page.

Our age groups are based on year of birth and change every Winter season. The current breakdown has been provided below.

All player registrations are done through PlayHQ via a link provided to players by the respective clubs. Registrations consist of the following fees:

WBA fee: This fee is set by the Wanneroo Basketball Association and is a one-off fee for the duration of the season. The current WBA fee is $214.

Club fee: Each club sets their own club fees per season. This is a one-off fee for the duration of the season.

BWA fee: This fee is set by Basketball WA. All members playing competition basketball in Western Australia are required to pay this fee. It is valid for 12 months and makes the member an active and financial playing member with BWA and ensures they are covered by the insurance provided to players.

The WBA holds a Junior Domestic registration day six weeks prior to the start of each Junior Domestic season. Registration day is held on a Saturday from 9am – 12pm in the Wolves Den function room at Arena Joondalup. The day is open to any members of the public looking to register their child/children into one of our Junior Domestic Clubs for our competition in the Wanneroo Basketball Association.

The registration day is a great opportunity for players to find a team as all seven domestic clubs will be present on the day with each club looking for a variety of players and coaches across the different age groups. Please be aware that positions on teams are extremely popular and do fill quickly. Should clubs reach capacity, they will begin taking names onto a waiting list.
